I never have had anyone that can explain what that scripture means. It comes down to blind faith. You are correct that passage in Hebrews is a contradiction in terms. I mean how can you put trust in something that you don't know exists?? How can you know something exists unless you have had experiences to prove it exists? So like you said it is all circular arguments.

No I do not believe it is the word of God. Outside of the bible there is no proof that it is authentic. It is full of old myths and stories that have been handed down through oral traditions that were eventually written down. Unless you have blind faith in believing what it says there is no proof. It is a book that is divisive where wars, crusades and inquisitions have been done in its name over the last few thousand years. It is for weak minded individuals that cannot face reality and live in a dream world. I challenge any believer in it, here and now to proof to me without a shadow of a doubt and without resorting to "it is inspired because it says so" that it is God's word.

It still comes down to having blind faith that this is the word of God. Like I said, out side of the bible, there is no evidence that this is an inspired book. If it is so inspired, why is there thousands of so called Christian religion that all interpret the book differently?

i read somewhere that russel(society's first prez) had a beard and the second pres( russel) wanted to completely dissassosiate anything having to do with russel and so therefore outlawed against them.

As far as Jesus not having a beard, the JW would have you believe he didn't in some of their earlier publications. Though the later ones do show him with a beard but a neat and clean cut one. Makes you wonder when he was on the road walking for days how he could have had time to go to the barbers.

Again, why are we supposed to believe this is God's word? I could say here that what I say is inspired of God and you cannot contradict me. Does that make what I said from God? You may believe otherwise but 2000 years form now who is to say it is not inspired? I mean the Mormons believe their book of Mormon, that was written by Joseph Smith is inspired. On this premise, do we have any right to say otherwise? I have not being proven that the bible is inspired from God because what it ultimately comes down to is following something full of myths and tales, with blind faith.

According to the book "The Jesus Mysteries" they have proven through computer analyses that the later latter that have been attributed to Paul were not written by the same author as the earlier letters by Paul. Some of his latter letters were not added to the Canon until the 2nd or 3rd century. It all comes down to who was the "God" that decided what was inspired scriptures and what was not. It is a good book but that is all it is. It is no more inspired than any other book.
